A hummingbird, imitating the Tufted Coquette (Lophornis ornatus) hand cut from fine silver and coated with numerous layers of hard enamel, epoxy resins and real feathers in an attempt to mimic the fabulous colours of these tiny birds. Each bird will, because of the nature of the processes involved, be utterly unique. Set in a circular frame approximately 45mm in diameter made from sterling silver and filled with epoxy resin in a wide variety of colours (The pendant shown is filled with Pale Green). A 1 mm diameter sterling silver chain (18" or 16" in a variety of style - the photograph has a snake chain) passes through a hand made flower bail.
