A sterling silver ring with a 3mm D shaped inside band (this makes the ring very, very comfortable).  A 15mm circular silver disk has a 3mm silver tube and 4 lengths of 1mm ball chain attached to it emulating a vortex.  The inner circle is then enamel filled and the outer area covered with contrasting enamel.  Careful polishing produces a gradually increasing area of exposed silver in the vortex to give a dynamic effect.  The ring shown is Ruby Red (Detail Colour) and Royal Blue (Detail Colour 2).
